We recently moved to Bangalore, India from Houston, TX after living about four years there. When we decided to move here, I was so full of emotions. I have never been in this city and now I am going to live here for a while.

Bangalore, officially known as Bengaluru is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Although primarily known for its high-tech industries, it is also known for its beautiful parks, awesome weather compared to other cities of India and amazing nightlife. It is also known as the “Silicon Valley” of India because of the huge number of IT companies here.

When we first arrived here in the mid of March, the weather was kind of hot. I was a bit disappointed as I was told that this city has a beautiful weather. Thankfully, that disappointment didn’t last long! As I am writing this post today, the weather is awesome outside! It’s been raining here almost every other day. I must say that in Bangalore you will get both sunshine and rain in a day!

Another thing we were told about was the awful traffic in Bangalore. And yes, this is so true for Bangalore traffic.

In other parts of the world, after rain, comes rainbow. But in Bangalore, rain is always followed by hours of traffic jam.

Maybe the folks here have become used to of this traffic, but if you move to Bangalore for the first time it will definitely take some time to cope up with this kind of traffic.

We explored quite a few places in the first few weekends and we liked almost all the places we have been. The nights here are absolutely crazy and classy at the same time. If you like super crazy nights, pubs, dancing and carefree wandering in the streets then this city has all of it.

Fun in Bangalore

We are staying in the beautiful community here and Pakhi already made lots of friends here. She has already started loving this place too so am I. Let’s see what else this city has in store for us.

Abha Mondal

I am a simple woman from India who wants to live every moment of her life as it comes. I believe in taking every chance I get in life because some things only happen once.
